EduCampus Aruba is a 6-12 school in Aruba. Having built their website in 2020 when the school began with 3 students, they faced an information-forward challenge when the campus blossomed into its own micro-community. EduCampus' website, the primary touchpoint that many faced, was barren. Minimal and outdated information with no pictures and zero contact links meant the website was sorely in need of an update. Due to its new nature, a logical flow of information was important to keep readers engaged throughout the volume of knowledge to be shared. We started with a FAQ list, picked out all the major recurring themes, and built out from there. Now the website is a primary information source for parents and students alike, with many going to EduCampus already well-equipped for the choices they need to make. One particular choice that has resonated well within the community has been the EduCampus team page. As an education provider, the choice was made to only feature children on the website. But how do you tackle that restriction on a team page? By including pictures of each team member as a child. It remindes people that every human started as a child and fosters a sense of connection with the team.
